The Bark River STS 7.5 is a large robust all-rounder. The STS was specifically designed for hunting, bushcraft and survival situations. This knife is slightly bigger than its predecessor, the STS 5. The 7.5 in the name really stands for 7.5 inch: 18.6 cm. It is definitely a large knife! This, in combination with the 5.2 mm thick blade, makes the STS perfect for chopping work or survival tasks.
